Daragh J. Hoey

Daragh Hoey practices in the firm’s litigation department. He has represented individuals and major corporations in a wide range of commercial disputes in state and federal courts, including professional malpractice, business and shareholder disputes, securities litigation, class actions, mass tort, and product liability.

Representative matters include:

• Defense of law firm in malpractice action arising out of licensing dispute.
• Representation of U.S. investment firm in international bankruptcy auction dispute.
• Defense of law firm in case arising out of alleged securities fraud.
• Defense of energy company in multi-county, multi-suit, 100-plus plaintiff catastrophic injury action arising out of plant explosion.
• Defense of energy company in tort litigation arising out of international terrorism incident.
• Representation of fund trustee in dispute arising out of alleged underpayment of settlements.

Daragh has also represented indigent clients in pro bono capital appeals.

Prior to joining the firm, Daragh was a litigation associate at Norton Rose Fulbright (formerly Fulbright & Jaworski LLP) in Houston, TX.

In his spare time, Daragh—who hails from Ireland—enjoys great food, great wine, great writing, shouting at rugby and soccer matches, and wandering around the Pacific Northwest.
