Hallowell
Barbara Hallowell's practice
focuses primarily on real estate and business transactions.
Recent transactions include a $200 million loan financing
secured by properties in 6 states, and the acquisition
of a $100 million office complex in California. Other
recent transactions involve land acquisitions, sale
transactions, development agreements, architect agreements,
construction contracts, listing agreements, easements,
title issues and leases in Washington D.C., Illinois,
Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington state. Her experience
covers all phases of real estate development, from acquisition
of the land, construction of the improvements, and leasing
of the completed project to the ultimate sale of the
project.
Ms. Hallowell received her
B.S. cum laude from Temple University in 1969, and her
J.D. cum laude from Rutgers-Camden Law School in 1975.
She was a member and research editor of the Rutgers-Camden
Law Journal.
From 1975 to 1976, Ms. Hallowell
was a law clerk to Judge George B. Francis at the New
Jersey Superior Court. From 1976 to 1983, she was associated
with the firm of White & Williams in Philadelphia. In
1983, she joined the Seattle firm of Culp Dwyer Guterston
& Grader and became a partner in that firm in 1988.
In 1995, Ms. Hallowell joined McNaul Ebel Nawrot &
Helgren as a founding member. Ms. Hallowell is admitted
to the bar in New Jersey (inactive), Pennsylvania (inactive)
and Washington state.
Ms. Hallowell has been an
active member of Rotary and has served on various Rotary,
city and charitable boards.
