Jerry McNaul

Jerry McNaul's practice includes but is not limited to commercial, employment and construction litigation. His experience has included many substantial trials in federal and state courts for private and public litigants in these areas.

Mr. McNaul has served as special assistant attorney general in major construction cases, including the sinking of the I-90 floating bridge, and the initial construction of and later expansion of the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. He has also been appointed by various federal and state court judges to serve as special master; been selected to serve as mediator to resolve a large number of cases in federal and state courts regarding intellectual property rights, construction, antitrust, breach of contract, class actions, employment, and environmental issues; and served as an arbitrator in many cases in a wide variety of practice areas.

Mr. McNaul is a fellow of the America College of Trial Lawyers, and has formerly served as co-chair for the Civil Justice Reform Act Committee of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, trustee for the Seattle-King County Bar Association, and chairperson for the Washington State Bar Association Rules and Procedures Committee. He has lectured at many CLE seminars over the years, and serves as an AAA arbitrator. Mr. McNaul has been consistently listed for the last several years as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in the State of Washington by Washington Law & Politics.

Mr. McNaul began his career as a trial attorney with the Federal Trade Commission (Division of Mergers) in Washington D.C. from 1968 to 1970. He began his private practice in Seattle with the firm of Culp Dwyer Guterson & Grader in 1970, and became a partner with the firm in 1972 until its dissolution in 1995. He became a founding partner in McNaul Ebel Nawrot & Helgren in 1995.

Mr. McNaul received his B.A. with high honors (Phi Beta Kappa) from Washington State University in 1965, and his J.D. from the University of Washington in 1968. He was admitted to practice in Washington State in 1968. Mr. McNaul is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts (Western and Eastern Districts of Washington), and United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
