Leslie Swanson is a trial lawyer who practices in the Litigation and Trial group at McNaul Ebel. She has experience representing individuals and companies in all aspects of complex commercial litigation in state and federal court, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. Leslie has experience with breach of contract disputes, business disputes, real estate and environmental litigation, employment litigation, Consumer Protection Act litigation, and securities litigation.
Leslie has also done extensive pro bono work, representing indigent clients in civil matters and immigration law matters.
Prior to joining McNaul Ebel, Leslie practiced in the Orange County, California office of Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., where she focused on complex civil litigation.
Outside of the office, Leslie enjoys hiking, yoga, visiting the local Seattle breweries, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog.
Representative Cases & Matters
- Represented a developer in a dispute with a co-owner in two mixed use, multi-family development projects. Obtained a favorable arbitration award, including recovery of attorney’s fees and costs.
- Defended a real estate franchise in a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Consumer Protection Act. Settled the case in the client’s favor before the class was certified.
- Defended a legal malpractice claim asserted against a law firm; obtained early dismissal by motion of most claims and full resolution when the plaintiff voluntarily dismissed all remaining claims.
- Represented the founder and majority shareholder of a Seattle-based company in a dispute with an investor in a multi-week jury trial.
- Represented a national insurance company in coverage and bad-faith litigation.
- Represented a local cannabis retailer by handling employment matters, regulatory matters, and LCB compliance issues.
- Defended a cryptocurrency exchange in multiple disputes with users. Obtained favorable arbitration awards.
- Defended a land-developer client in an administrative action which would have held the client liable for environmental contamination.
- Represented large retailers and manufacturing company in copyright and trademark litigation.
