Biography

Charlie Wittmann-Todd practices in the Litigation and Trial group at McNaul Ebel. He has experience representing individuals, trustees, financial institutions, and international companies in complex commercial disputes. 

Charlie has handled matters in state, federal and bankruptcy court, including complex financial product litigation, business disputes, insurance coverage actions, contract disputes, international litigation, and appellate litigation. Prior to joining McNaul Ebel, Charlie practiced in the New York office of Jones Day, where he focused on complex civil litigation and bankruptcy disputes.

  • Represented founder of maritime transportation company in eight-figure litigation against international bank arising out of ouster of founder from company.
  • Defended real estate lending company against claims of breach of fiduciary duty and conversion related to real estate financing deal, obtaining complete dismissal on summary judgment.
  • Represented local municipality in litigation against regional agency related to transportation issues.
  • Represented insurance brokerage in dispute with former business partners related to acquisition of out-of-state brokerage.
  • Defended real estate lending company in seven-figure litigation against claims of breach of contract and conversion.
  • Represented receiver of defunct software company in litigation against national healthcare chain for breach of contract.
  • Represented real estate developer in dispute over purchase of investment property.
  • Advised several video game developers regarding termination of business relationships.
