Theresa M. DeMonte

Theresa DeMonte practices in the firm’s litigation department. She has experience representing clients at the trial and appellate levels in a variety of matters, including cases involving allegations of personal injury, eminent domain, violations of the False Claims Act, employment discrimination, securities fraud, and disputed title. She has devoted a significant part of her practice to pro bono work, including obtaining asylum for a client in a defensive proceeding.

After graduating from the University of Washington School of Law, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Richard Caputo of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and also to the Honorable Debra Stephens of the Supreme Court of Washington. Before coming to McNaul Ebel in 2015, she was a litigation associate at Calfo Harrigan Leyh & Eakes in Seattle, and also worked as an Assistant Attorney General for Washington State handling false claims matters.

Theresa is active in the legal community as a member of the WSBA’s Court Rules and Procedures Committee and as an incoming board member of the Mother Attorney Mentoring Network of Seattle.
